Mon Cherry

We do what we like to call intuitive barrel-aged imperial stouts. What that means is that we barrel-aged our very best base stout in whatever barrel we’re feeling, and that is fresh at the moment. Then, we have a tasting session. If anything stands out to us during that session, we further enhance the beer.

For Mon Cherry and its sibling, Mon Chili, we were offered a variety of brandy barrels. The Cherry and the Spanish ones stood out, so we opted for those.

Upon tasting the Cherry Barrel-Aged beer, we knew it was all about candy. That dark chocolate, cherry, and cherry sauce bite you can get from a piece in an adorable box of pralines. Almost a fine liqueur, if you will. Big, bold yet balanced. 

That’s what we went for.

This beer hits the spot. It’s sweets for the grown-ups, like a diamond in the sky. Mon amour!
