Oaky Bite

This beer's story is a three-parter. 

Part one: Here at Dugges, we have a long history of brewing bitters. It's one of our founder's favorite beer styles, and there was a long time when we simultaneously had at least one, often more, bitter, in our range. Then, for whatever reason, we just stopped brewing them. 

Part two: One of the ways to get to sell your beer at the Swedish liquor monopoly Systembolaget is to win tenders. A while ago, they had one out for a bitter. Needless to say, we brewed a bitter, entered the competition for the tender, and won! Bite on that! 

Part three: With the fall and winter approaching, how do you get your beer to have that red and yellow leafs falling off trees, rustic, sitting by the fireplace feel? Trees make for wood, right? And fireplaces burn wood. So, why not add some nice woody flavors to the beer? Since wood seems to be at the center of the coming seasons. Done!
