Peated Whisky Barrel Aged Imperial Chocolate Stout
A peated whisky barrel aged version of our big, chocolate, Stillwater Artisanal imperial stout collaboration Cocoa Cacao. Need we say more? Ok! More grown up, more complex, more of everything. Something for in-front of the fire place. Exquisite!
First we did Cocoa Cacao together with brewery Stillwater Artisanal. The biggest imperial chocolate stout we could dream up. Then, we put that beer into Speyside whisky barrels to get a nice barrel character without getting the smoke you can get from some whiskies. That beer became one of our most popular beers ever, prompting us to venture out. What if we included some of that smokiness we wanted to keep out? The realist blew our minds. This is a beers beer, a big sipper, a challenge accepted. It makes us fantasize about putting Cocoa Cacao in a lot of different barrels. In fact… we will!
