This is a sour ale brewed exclusively for the lovely restaurant Far i Hatten in Malmö, Sweden. This beer is soured with Lactobacillus and fermented with Hibiscus and Pink Grapefruit for an elegant freshness. Håll i hatten!
Story text:
In 2016, we received a question from the restaurant Far I Hatten, Malmö, Sweden. They wanted a house beer. Something different. Unique. And brewed in a tiny batch. We said sure and proceeded to brew them a Hibiscus flower and pink grapefruit sour.
The beer turned out beautiful, and the tiny batch sold out in a heartbeat. So, in 2017, we decided to go big. A whole batch, kegs, and bottles with a label design to really fit the beer. Which was still the same beautiful Hibiscus flower and Pink grapefruit sour.
Year after year, this beer has become more prominent, better, and bolder while still remaining that exact same little quaint sour. The big thing for 2024 is that the beer has gone into cans for the first time.
