Oaked Imperial Pineapple, Coconut & Coffee Sour
This is an ode to a time that seem so long ago yet always present in out minds. A cocktail we had in a bar far, far away turned into this imperial sour. Plush pineapple, creamy coconut and just the right, tiniest amount of toasted oak and coffee. Traveling through space and time. Miami here we come. South beach!
Before everything stopped there were beer festivals. (Oh, how we long for beer festivals.) One that we in particular remember is Wakefest in Miami, 2019. The sun was shining, the beer was flowing and everyone was there! One evening, Paul Jones of Cloudwater invited us out for drinks. He’d heard of a place in Miami Beach that served the best Piña Colada. And, when we say the best, we mean the best. We went, we drank, we got blown away. It was the best! Thinking about all our trips we could never get that drink out of our heads. How could we drink it again? What was in it? Why not make it into a beer? Why not indeed. Cocktail was born. We hope you like it as much as we remember liking that drink. Miami!
