David
Balder Heritage Barley Helles
Label text:
How would David describe this beer? Think he'd say something like, "An excellent beer." Not informative, but true. Nice!
Story text:
In June 2020, we got an offer we could not refuse. The proposal was to buy a bar. For years we'd dreamt of our own place. And we were finally able to do it.
After much deliberation, we decided upon a concept and a name. Kinda beer bar 2.0, and we wanted to call it Pils, after our premium lager. And although Pils, the beer, will always be on tap 1, you can't have a bar named after a lager with only one lager on tap! So, we decided that tap 2 would be dedicated to one-off staff-designed lager beers. Beers that each member of staff, taking turns, would dream up. First up was Calle, then Mikael, then Merritt. Then we strayed.
For the fourth beer, Emma's, we did a sour. Since that is what Emma really likes. And for the fifth beer, Tomas, we did a peach cream DIPA. Now though, it's time to bring it back. It's lager time again.
David is not only our head brewer but also this beautiful, easy-drinking, simple yet complex Helles. Nothing more, nothing less. Brewed with heritage barley for an extra rustic feel. Änkligen! As David would say. Brewed with a heritige barley for an extra rustic feel. Änkligen! As David would say.
