A pumped up sour that’s been aged in red wine and cognac barrels, resulting in a rich fruity flavor. And, on top of that we’ve added some sweet elder to go with it. Floralness and fruitiness combined on top of a crisp sour. This is like taking a bite of a fruit cake. Flower power!
Elderflower is one of those summer flowers that we all want to make some sweet lemonade of. Or, as in our case, a beer. So, we put our staff to the task - how much elderflower could they bring back? Turns out, a lot! We got enough to brew this barrel aged imperial sour which has been aged in red wine and cognac barrels, and then paired with elder. Fruity tones in abundance, and floral notes from the elder to give it that extra flavor. Elder! Flower!
