FRESH is our ever changing concept, idea and journey towards the perfect IPA in a world where our idea of the perfect IPA is ever changing. For FRESH8 we’ve tweaked the hop schedule slightly, adding more Citra powder in dry hop, and we’ve added oats for a smoother mouthfeel leaving the malt bill at 69% Pale Ale malts, 19% Rice and, 12% Oats.

Story text:

Embarking on a journey towards a super crisp, nicely sparkling and crushingly lush IPA, with loads and loads and loads and loads! That’s fresh! FRESH, was a 7.7% ABV, 70:30 pilsner malt, rice combo and Citra, Nelson hop bomb. For FRESH2, 7.3%, we altered the fermentation temp, tweaked the pilsner malt/rice bill to 69:31 and increased the amount of hops. FRESH3, 6.8% ABV, had a 65:35 pilsner malt/rice ratio, taking a step back with the fermentation temp., introducing Mosaic hops. For FRESH4, 7.2%, we switched between pilsner and pale ale malts. For FRESH5, 7.2%, we doubled the amount of hops! For FRESH6, 7.4% we turned the focus to Lupulin Powder. And, in FRESH7, 7,5% we introduced Kohatu hops.
