Moscatel Sour

When you get presented with the opportunity to buy four freshly emptied Spanish Moscatel barrels, even though they are expensive beyond what’s reasonable, you take that opportunity. Or, at least that’s what we did. We had been wanting to mature our house sour beer in barrels for quite some time and these were the prefect vessels for doing that. We filled the barrels, stored them away and then we waited, and waited, and waited. In the end, despite us being eager to get it out and try it the whole time, it was well worth the wait. We’ll definitely try our hands at this again. In the mean time, we’ll be sipping this bubbly!
