Jasmine
Tea Flower Sour
Label text:
For a long time, Jasmine blossoms have been used to scent tea. A subtly sweet, highly fragrant, and flowery tea. We've put these qualities into a sour beer. Bringing together the best of two worlds. In bloom!
Story text:
Our founder, Mikael, went on a trip to China. Back with him, he brought a bag of jasmine tea flowers to the brewery. The smell of these flowers was insane. Sweet, a bit minty, flowery, and begging to be put in a beer. Said and done.
This first version was a 4.0% ABV small-batch brew that went well with everyone who tried it. Jasmine tea flowers, however, took a lot of work to come by regarding the quality and quantity we needed and wanted. So, the beer got put on hold.
Some years later, having got what we want, we've changed the beer a bit (down to 3.5% vol.) and made it a folköl. Still smelled amazing. Still tasted great.
All this was quite a few years ago, and when we've now decided to brew the beer again, so much has changed. It's basically a new beer. A sour, yes. 4,0% vol., yes. But basically, it's a new beer. Still smelling amazing. Still tastes great. But basically… you get it. So, we gave it a new-ish name. Meet Jasmine. Cuppa'!
