Mega

In the early beginnings of Dugges, this could have been around 2005 or 2006. We had a brewer who tried to brew the strongest beer he could. That attempt was a 16% vol. imperial stout, which never saw the light of day. It didn't taste right. Scaling that recipe down, however, it tasted just fine. And it got us to brewing Idjit. It's one of our most iconic beers.

Fast forward to 2021, and we wanted to reconnect with that ambition of not brewing something big, bigger, or biggest but brewing something mega! So, the mega-series was born. Big 15% vol. adjunct stouts that had extra everything with even more on top and a side of all you could ever want. And then some.

Weirdly, funnily, and strangely enough, we never brewed a clean version. One that really connected to our roots. So, we rectified that and went full circle. We were back, maybe not brewing the most potent beer we can, but brewing something substantial. And this time, it tasted just right.

Now, we've put that beer in cans instead of bottles. Boom!
