Red Wine Barrel Aged Imperial Stout
With our friends at Burnt Mill Brewery we’ve brewed up a barrel aged imperial stout double with one being more traditional and the other being more modern. A malt heavy, ever so slightly roasted and chocolaty base going in to two different type of barrels. This one has rested on red wine barrels with some added oak. Classic!
We first met Burnt Mill at London Craft Beer Festival 2018 through mutual brewery friends Anspach & Hobday. We tried some of their beers, they tried some of ours, we struck up a conversation and hit it off. We met at a few more festivals, they came to Sweden, we went to the U.K and the relationship produced our first collaboration Dimma. An IPA brewed at Burnt Mill. For the return we wanted to do something big and dark. Old School and New School is the result. Two barrel aged beers showcasing each brewery and the industries strength. It’s all about friendship and we love it!
