Orange Night

Black IPAs are a hard beer. Maybe not to make (well, not harder than any other beer), but to get it tasting really good. It’s also a beer type that people love or love to hate. Seems there’s a fine line to walk while balancing the dark, often roasted malts with the bitterness from the hops. This is what we wanted to make work. We took our wast coast IPA, Orange Haze, and used that as the canvas. Obviously, we had so alter the malt bill getting the color right but we also added some grape fruit and tangerine into the mix to help balance it. So, did we succeed? Well, we think so! But, we’re pretty sure that some people will love this beer, and some people will love to hate it. As you do with Black IPA’s.
