Sidamo Dimtu
Imperial Coffee Stout
Label text:
We did this stout with Hunter & Sons and Round Hill Roastery of Bath, England. They brought the coffee. We brewed the beer. A fruity, floral Ethiopian Sidamo Dimtu in a chocolatey, roasty stout. Melikami gīzē!
Story text:
We got an e-mail from James Hunter of Hunter & Sons, a specialty coffee and craft beer place in Bath, England, asking if we at Dugges Bryggeri were coming over to Bristol, for the Bristol Craft Beer Festival. Replying, saying we did not know what it was, James got us in touch with the organizers and was the catalyst for a nine day stint in England, filled with tap takeovers, meet the brewers, a festival and a collaboration brew with brewery Wiper and True! Wanting to repay James for his efforts and having done a few Imperial Coffee Stouts before we though a coffee beer collaboration would be the perfect thing. James sourced the coffee from Round Hill Roastery; a Dimtu from the Sidamo region in Ethiopia and James and Eddie, from Round Hill, came over to brew.
