Mezcal Infused Neomexicanus Hopped Rice Pasilla Habanero Tamarind & Peach Sour
The eclectic taste of Mexico condensed into a sour beer. The heartland in a glass. Sour, spicy, fruity. Just like you like it. ¡Vamos!
We made this beer with Gothenburg Mexican restaurant Tizne for their kitchen take-over at our bar Pils. And you'd think that you get this beer when reading the style (above). But, even though it's a very elaborate style and description, it doesn't even begin to tell the story.
This is a rice- and pale ale-malt Lactobacillus sour beer fermented with Mexican lager yeast, infused with Mezcal, flavored with Tamarind, Peach, Pacilla- and Habanero- chili and dry hopped with the unique, 100% Neomexicanus hop variety Zappa.
We could say that again, but we're afraid your head might explode.
We love being pushed beyond what we thought were our limits. And this collaboration and beer did just that. ¡Salud!
