The CRUSH series is our ever changing concept, idea and journey towards the perfect DIPA in a world where our idea of the perfect DIPA is ever changing. With ETA we took the CRUSH base beer and then fermented it with a blend of ESB and S-04 yeast. We also kept the hops to just Mosaic and Citra and lowered the ABV to 7.5%.
After doing Double Crush, Ronny’s Crush and CRUSH ALPHA through to EPSILON we landed in (just) CRUSH, which has now become our core DIPA. Deciding on making it our core DIPA, we though a bit about discontinuing the series. But, what’s the fun in that!? Pushing the CRUSH moniker to the back and letting the variety name shine we keep on fiddling with the beer and indulging our curiosity. This time, we played around with hops and yeast. Next time it might be something completely different. DIPAs never stand still. And, neither do we. Forward!
