Single Hop SIPA
A beer to really showcase that Simcoe® loveliness. All those passion fruity, piney, berry and earthy characteristics packed into one hop which we then packed into this beer. Like being in the tropics and a northern woodlands at the same time. Simcoe-sala-bim!
When we decided to brew this beer, we we’re on a real session IPA vibe. We did three of them, almost in one go. With each we wanted to showcase something different. With this one, it was the lure of the single hop that did it. Single hops can be hard to do. Though, they don’t sound hard. Just throw in the one hop variety and you’re done. But, there’s a little more to it than that. At least when you want it to taste good and not only be educational. You need to really balance the yeast with the malts and the hops to create a harmonious, multifaceted experience. We’re really happy with how this one came out. Or should we say really hoppy… no we should’t, we really shouldn’t.
